Covered Bridge

These two are actually the same shot, just processed differently. The top one has some Gaussian blur overlayed, the bottom does not.
I can't really decide which one I like better, so I posted them both!

Exposure: 1/4 @ F11, ISO 200. D70 w/ 18-70 DX lens.

Problem Child?

I seriously doubt this little girl is as frightful as this picture would suggest. Bad water maybe? I just happened to notice her expression as I was wandering around Musikfest, and quickly snapped off a shot. The cropping isn't perfect, but then again, that's why I'm calling these practice!

Exposure data: 1/500 @ F5.6, 70-300mm @ 150mm, ISO 200, no flash used.

A Tasty Treat

Exposure data: 1/125 @ F5.6, ISO 200, 70-300mm F4-5.6 @ 300mm, no flash.

I saw this young man walk off from the crowd and go sit on the stairs. After observing for a bit, I snapped off some frames and managed to get this particular one. I think it's probably the best shot of the day.

Musikfest

I always have liked corn dogs... guess she shares my opinion, huh?

This is actually about a 50% crop just to get out some dope who decided to walk in front of me at the instant I shot the picture. Luckily, it seems to be salvageable, as I love her expression. Took some minor dodging in the eyes as well as the usual gaussian overlay to get the look I wanted.

Many more from Musikfest to come later.... now I need to sleep after a long day.

St. Peter's Farm

This shot was taken just outside of St. Peter's village. It's actually four images stitched together using PhotoMerge. I don't particularly like it, mainly because I don't think the composition is quite right. I think it would be nicer if I could get a little closer and use a wide angle lens, as opposed to shooting from the road with my 70-210mm. Luckily, this is on my way home from work so I'll get plenty of opportunities to go there.
